Commentary
Showing a more modernist approach than has been typical, this painting shows Barbara Fleming embracing narrative and unusually including figures in her composition, Possibly later period 1960s, in England. The whole approach is of a sketch, with the pencil un- derdrawing clearly exposed beneath the thinly and partially painted surface.
