Description
A half portrait of a young man in three quarter view in yellow.
Commentary
A highly stylised portrait in a naive manner, executed at speed, but not bearing the authenticity of a life study. The pale blue shadow to the cheek suggests an exploration of the post impressionist palette. However it is difficult to find the hand of Alec of Barbara Fleming in this. On balance it seems more likely an experimentation in style by Barbara.
