Description

Tall pink flowers in a grey ceramic vase against a green background.

Commentary

English dimensions of the purchased canvas suggest this was painted in England. The impressionistic, textured, small brush work and visible brush marks in the flat colour planes are typical of B Fleming as is the lack of concern for precision in the painting of the pot, which gives way to expression and an explosion of colour. Possibly 1960s en plein aire.
