Description
A large flowering house plant in a cream ceramic pot sitting on a mid blue table cloth.
Commentary
Likely an early still with unusual levels of impasto, perhaps denoting a determined experimentalism with the medium. Subject is common for Barbara Fleming and Alec. This could be an early Alec Fleming due to levels of impasto and confidence of the brush marks. Barbara tends to be more hesitant, with thinner paint and less concerned with depth and tonality. On balance this is probably by Barbara.
