Description

Head and torso of a young girl in black sweater and white collar.

Commentary

Possibly late 1960s early 1970s. Certainly a later work showing A F’s command of skin tones and his awareness of the works of Lucian Freud. The blonde hair is especially well rendered with limited texture and convincing tonal highlights and shadows. Possibly a school uniform and related to Cat 184.
