Description

An icy blue pool in th e foreground of a fiery landscape, with mountains in the distance.

Commentary

A powerful fauvist inspired landscape with heavy impasto and a diagonally flowing sky. The flowing forms of the landscape and stylised trees show a painter aware of his antecedents and confident in his own style. I would re- gard this a s a later work by Alec Fleming.
