Description
A steel and glass sky scraper towering over much older limestone buildings in the heart of a city Probably painted from photographic references.
Commentary
This powerful atypical painting uses a mature application of paint and a neutral tonal and colour palette to emphasise the contrast between the ancient buildings and the way the light hits the higher floors of the steel and glass sky scraper.. This scene could be around La Defense in Paris The dry brush work and counter directional strokes are typical of Alec Fleming.
