A red sail boat drawn up on the a sandy cove, with a small lighthouse and low buildings in the middle distance and a smaller lighthhouse in the distance Four figures gathered on the shoreline.
Commentary
Displays Alec Flemings typical sketch dry brush approach. Highly likely to be painted en plein air. A bright and light palette, suited to what appears to be a Mediterranean scene. Possibly southern France. The tonal recession in the painting of the buildings suggest a mature period for Fleming.
