Description

A substantial farmhouse with outbuilding and dovecote on the roof. Fruit trees to the front right.

Commentary

Likely in France. The multi layering of the vegetation and the level of detail suggest a painting made in the studio from sketches. Well painted with tell tales areas of reserved grey primed panel behind the impressionistic apple trees.

Attribution

Attributed to Alec Fleming.

Given to Alec Fleming in the catalogue.
