Description

Half portrait of a woman in an orange sweater against a blue/green background.

Commentary

The luminous application of paint to capture skin tones shows Alec Fleming’s work at its most mature. The age of the sitter and hairstyle suggest mid 1970s. Perhaps part of a series of accomplished portrait studies.
