Description

A field of wheat with large barn in the middle distance.

Commentary

An in- triguing almost modernist composition. with flat planes of colour, strong, simple tonal contrasts indicative of a painter aware of developments in the wider contemporary art world. Visible flat brush marks are typical of A Flemings robust at- tack of the panel.

Condition

Some dry staining across the left-hand top of the sky- Should clean. Some contact marks and residual detritus on paint surface. All four corners slightly flattened.
