Description

A mature woman with short hair in a yellow scoop necked dress. Three quarter view- head and torso.

Commentary

This painting feels more like a study, with pencil and charcoal marks left on the surface, along with the painyt. The flesh tones are well handled with less impasto visible flat brush work than Cats 15-21. The confidence of the mark making and the flat less worked tones, suggest an alla prima study from life. Likely 1970s, possibly in series with Cats 15-19.
