Description
A road cuts between snow and ice covered rocks, with a bare tree to the left foreground.
Commentary
An accomplished depiction of a bleak winter scene with convincing handling of the snow. The sky is light but carries snow. The flat brush work is characteristic of Alec Fleming but shows a maturity of style and a significant degree of impasto, with a command of tone.
