Description
A middle aged man in an orange jacket, blue neckerchief and pork pie hat, seated at a table with wine bottle and glasses.
Commentary
A charming portrait with well captured mise en scene, in a bar or cafe owing something to Modigliani around the hands and to the painters of southern France in the palette and composition, particularly Matisse..
Attribution
Attributed to Alec Fleming.
Given to Alec Fleming in the catalogue.
Catalogue wording: “Alec Fleming”
